I was wondering if I could use my 4pin ATX connector with this motherboard, it has an 8pin motherboard plug. Is there some sort of adapter I can buy that is safe to use? Thanks.

Thanks for the link.
On the Evga X58 Classified motherboard it has two 8pin connectors. Is there such thing as a molex to 8pin, or 6pin PCI-E to 8pin?

Sorry if it sounds stupid, just throwing out ideas here. Would like to upgrade to i7 without buying a new PSU. The i7 already burns a hole through my pocket as it is.

It's still just an X58 board at the end of the day.

Don't ask me, lol

And thanks for the links, exactly what I needed

They put that so you you will get the cleanest power for heavy duty overclocking and running 3d mark vantage trying to get the highest score
