Frankenstein build!

I rarely get to play games anymore because of my thesis.
With my sig rig pulling so much power from the wall on idle and constantly tempting me to play games, I decided to build a frankenputer specifically to let me get some work done.

I've put together some parts I had just laying around:

Sempron 2800+ 1.6GHz @ 2.24GHz (280x8) 4xHT + stock heatsink
2x 512MB Kingston ValueRam DDR2-667 @ DDR2-747 5-5-5-15 2T 2.2v
Epox AGF6110-M/G nForce4 mATX mobo
Inno3D 9600GT
Antec Super Lanboy case
160GB 'cuda IDE
Sony DVD-RW IDE

I'm pretty proud about the overclock, given the crap ValueRams and no CPU/NB overvolt. I can't overclock as high on this Epox board when the CPU/NB voltages are raised.

It boots fast -- much much faster than my sig rig! For some reason the DFI board has a "grace period" before booting up when overclocked. I don't know if it's just my board or if all P45 boards to it, but that's ~10s of a blank screen before the POST sequence starts.

Unfortunately the mobo can't handle AM2+/AM3 procs, so no Phenoms.
Maybe I should get an X2 again, and a pair of v1.2 Dominators to match with the sig rig so I can put the Platinums into this thing. I'm getting the upgrade itch again, lol.

Must... do... thesis...

Lol, stay calm , i thought you made this thing so you wouldn't game , i don't see any sense in upgrading it, for non-gaming it should be just perfect

Reading mountains of PDFs, writing my documents in LaTeX, web surfing, and programming. It doesn't really need a lot of power, but if I fill in those gaps I'll have a decent LAN rig.

Human gait analysis. We're working towards computers that can analyze your emotion based on the way you walk (my thesis), stand, or talk.
