Frequent freeze, Black screen, "failed-security options"

Windows Vista 32bit.
Sig rig.
Freezes for about 5 minutes, black screen says failed -security options, screen comes back, repeat. Have to reboot.

Recent hardware changes: switched from HIS(1gb) to Asus 4870 (512). uninstalled drivers, reinstalled latest. After the 2nd crash I uninstalled and installed 8.11 drivers (the latest ones I found stable). Also installed xtreme Gamer sound card.
