I made an earlier thread about this, but we wanted to wait till black friday sales to finish. Some combos changed so I had to pick some different parts.

PC will be slightly OC'd to around 3.5 we are hoping. Will be using a spare vendetta 2 for the HS.

Will be setting up RAID 0. Was going to go with 2 samsung F3's 500GB but caviar black 620 is cheaper atm.

Here is the build.

Case + PSU: Cooler Master RC-690 and OCZ ModXSTREAM Pro 700W 135$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.291799 Bought

CPU+Mobo: Phenom II X4 + Asus http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.296111 Bought

Phenom II X3 720 + Gigabyte ga-ma790gpt-ud3h 194$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.295032

Or

Phenom II x3 720 + ASUS M4A79XTD EVO 219$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.296116

GPU: XFX HD-577A-ZHFC 5770 170$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150457

RAM: OCZ Gold 1600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227316 Bought

OCZ Platinum 1333 7-7-7-20 82$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227478
CD/DVD burner: Sony 26$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827118030
HDD: 2x WD Caviar Black 640GB 100$

Also we may decide to go for the combo AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition which uses the same mobo as above so I assume these parts would work with build above also.

Thanks

EDIT: Which of the 2 mobo's are better the gigabyte or the ASUS?

Thanks, so I will be using the asus mobo and that ram.

How does the rest of the build look?

EDIT: Also this is a complete system build, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything also
Yeah of those two I would certainly go for the ASUS mobo combo as opposed to the Gigabyte.

As far as having all of the necessary parts you should be good to go, although don't forget about some cold cathodes for showing off the new pc

btw-thats an awesome PSU for the price. I just used it in a custom build for a client and was very impressed.

I'd go with a UD4P at the very least from the Gigabyte side but since it's less, the ASUS board is the better choice
Going with the asus + AMD phenom II x4 965 BE combo. Only 40$ more guarnteed extra core and .6GHz faster stock..

Hopefully this cpu OC's well

thanks for
If you're going for a full build, I hope you've got a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and speakers laying around

Looks good mate. And I wanna see some colorful fans and CCFLs going into that thing...
