On my Corsair 800D (rig in sig), I've been having issues with the front panel audio jack. Here's whats been going on (I'm only using the iphone headphones because I haven't bought any real headphones yet):
* Tried both HD Audio & AC97 connected to on-board audio = no sound.
* Tried both HD Audio & AC97 connected to Xonar DX = no sound
I then upgraded the front panel to the new USB3, new unit. Perhaps it was a bad front panel...
* Tried both HD Audio & AC97 connected to Xonar = no sound, even on new front panel.
I think I can say that the front panels aren't the problem as I doubt I would have TWO bad units from Corsair. When plugging in the headphones, nothing popped up saying "headphones plugged in" or anything. In the ASUS Volume Mixer, it didn't show anything other than "speakers" from my 2.1 plugged in the back.
Perhaps its just the iPhone headphones don't work well with the front panel?
