The 6GB 1600MHz Redline and Redline Ascent
Mushkin has announced two new Core i7 loving triple-channel memory kits that will be a part of its Redline series. The new Redline and Redline Ascent 6GB (3x2GB) kits will both work at 1600MHz but will feature either the FrostByte heatsink or the new Ascent technology heatsink.

As noted, both of these new 6GB kits work at 1600MHz with 6-7-6-18 latencies at 1.65 Volts. The only actual difference is in the cooling technology, as the first one comes with Mushkin's well known FrostByte heatsinks while the second one uses new Ascent heatsink based on Vapor Chamber technology.

According to Mushkin, these modules should already be out, but we haven't been able to find them listed, so we guess that we will have to wait a bit for the price.

Looks awesome. Low latencies with 1600MHz is pretty good.

Holy crap. Looks awesome, too, and I like Mushkin. I'll get that kit when I move to the final full Windows 7 release, should work great.
Price? I like the CAS 6 timings. Sexy for a 1600mhz kit.
These look like some great i7 memory kits. I've always loved the Mushkin Ascent's. Great timing's and latencies.
The Redline DDR kits were quite amazing. Lets hope the DDR3 version lives up the name.
Very impressive timings for that speed and voltage. Hopefully they don't cost an arm and a leg.
I would pay 150-170 for these, but not more. I am thinking they will probably be priced somewhere around 220-250 but that is only a guess.
I have 8 GB of Redline DDR2 right now, I wouldnt' give them up for anything..these will be what I get when I go i7, no question.
I'm strongly considering a nice 2x2GB kit of Mushkin Redline Ascent for my RAM upgrade. That vapor-chamber technology has my interest piqued.

Ditto. Pretty damn solid RAM, and overclocks great. Won't be swapping mine any time soon.

I wonder when 12GB kits will come...

The timings are finally really starting to drop on DDR3. Yummy

i really would like to see a good kit of ram at even close to those timings, triple channel at 1600 for that price, ill take ummm all of them.
CAS 6 at 1600MHz should be considerably faster than DDR2, at least in benchmarks.
