I'm looking for some games to play with my housemates over our network, but they can't be too demanding. I think some of the computers are working with systems that are as much as 4 or 5 years old. DOD seemed to push the limits of a couple systems. Any suggestions? I'd like to do BF2 and AOEIII, but my housemates can't run them.

Any ideas of some older fun games? I've already thought of the NFS series, Starcraft/Warcraft, but I can't think of much more.

If you like games like WC, check out the Warlords Battlecry games (particularly the second one). You can find copies very inexpensively, and it's among my favorite RTS games. It's old enough that it shouldn't tax your roomates' computer too much as well.

You could try Little Fighter 2
It's a side scrolling arcade style fighting game.
>> LINKY <<
EDIT:
Also if you like RTS'es you could try Blitzkrieg.
I'm a die-hard Diablo II/LOD fan. Have been since the week of it's release. Unfortunately they are not. I'm thinking of giving UT a try. I never got into it myself, so it should be interesting. I have a feeling COD and BF1942 will also work just fine. That Warlords Battlecry looks pretty good too. I'm sure I could find it in a battle chest somewhere for cheap.

CS 1.6 is a great lan game. I play it with 100fps on a mobility 9000 in my laptop.
