I've heard that in order to achieve n-key rollover, a diode is installed on every switch. If that diode were to be an LED, wouldn't whichever key you press also light up? It would be pretty distracting, but I can't help wondering about it.

I think it would get old in.... 10 minutes ?

But dreaming is fun. Just like my idea as a kid for a mouse with force feedback haha.

That's actually been done! Logitech had one, quite a few years back, known as the iFeel Mouseman Wheel Optical.

In fact there's one up on eBay right now, that you can look at, if you don't believe me.

I don't believe any current Logitech drivers will support it on Windows 7 though. I think it didn't sell too well at the time, with that feature being more of a gimmick or novelty, without much support in games.
