if its a high frequency sound (like a flash on a camera charging after you take a picture) then its the mosfets trying to regulate the power coming into the card, most likely you're psu is overstressed (probably the case if you bought a newer, higher power-consuming card and kept the same older infrastructure). Also i've seen some cases where dirty power coming into the psu (if its not an aftermarket one with decent noise suppression) makes various components not operate within their specs.
