Iv almost got my money ready to go just need about 200 more i got 900$ so im almost set, maby a week or two and im ready to build this thing, but im unsure of waht to get exactly, BTW all these prices are CDN, and the prices arnt final just estimates but i do have a budget of 1000-1150$ Heres waht i have so far.

CPU - E6300 - $217

PSU - Ennermax Liberty 620W - $150

Mobo - Asus P5B - $140 (not sure if i want this yet though)

VGA - Totaly not sure open to sugestions, thinking X1900XT, 7900GT, maby 7950? i am a heavy gamer but on a budget so not sure.

Ram - OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 2GB Platinum XTC - $245

Case - Thermaltake Armor 8000BLK Black Steel Case - $125

Total Around - 1175 (if vidcard is $300)
thats possible, but remeber this is an estimate price could be a 100 more who knoes these prices are with tax and might be around 20 dollars lower not to sure but its aroudn this range. IS there anything i should change or know of, i want the best PC possible i like to multitask, and Game game game thats mainly what its for gaming. I dont like upgrading and probly wont for a long time so i need somthing very futureproof. any sugestions will help +rep! thanks in advance.

Which canadian website are you using to find those prices in CAD... tha'ts pretty darn good.

Ok, here's a DX10 take:
Total $1,283.59CAD + tax + shipping

This is just to show you that a DX10 card is not far out of budget. More reasonable would be an X1900XT 512MB or something like that.

hmm do u think thats better than say a

E6300
Asus P5B
ATI X1900XT 256
OCZ GamerXsTream 600W
same G skill ram
And a TT Armor

whcih comes up to around 1100 bux or so.

thing is is it worth getting the DX10 cards out now atm?

Well.. I suggested the DX10 card because of this:

if 'long time' is several years, then yes, I'd get the DX10 card. If it's a year or so, then the X1900 will do just fine. It's up to you how reluctant you are to upgrade.

Upgrading a video card is pretty easy. Personally, I'd get the X1900 for now, and upgrade in about a year.

hmm i dono i think id rather just spend the extra, i mean in like 3 months or so will alot better DX10 Cards come out? btw that is the X1900XT 256 which i dono is as good as its brother the 512 edition in comparison to price. im not to sure, plus if DX10 comes out i dont need any other part to suport like mobo or any thing cuase its PCI - E so i dono i might just get the 1900XT but i dono would a 7900 or 7950 for 350 a better buy maby?

Well.. given that there likely will be more (possibly better, most likely also cheaper) DX10 cards will be out in just a few months, it depends on you whether you want to spend so much on a single part that you know you'll replace in about half a year.

If I were to buy a rig now, I'd probably settle for an X1950PRO for $200. However, of the cards you mentioned, I'd get the X1950XT
