G.Skill 6GB (3x2GB) what's the difference?

503 11
Between this:

G.SKILL PI Black 6GB

and this:

G.SKILL 6GB

Both has the same timings but the regular 6GB one is over $100 cheaper.

The DIMMs you will receive if you order the Black edition kit will have more overclocking potential than the normal kit.

G.Skill bins their RAM very high meaning there's little-to-no OC headroom, but I assume because the Blacks are the performance series that they are binned so that there is more OC headroom, hence the price markup.

Is it worth the extra $$?

That's up to you!

They both use the exact same heat spreaders.....just different color.
