Have an old Asus G73JH laptop I play a few games on and surf the net, etc. Its gotten slower over the years so I am going to reformat it for the first time and reinstall windows. It has Windows 7 64 bit rt now. Should I leave it at that or upgrade it to WIndows 10? I prefer 7 (because everything works I use now), but wanted to see what this community thought?

Well, May not be able to do this. Dont have a windows 7 disk and have not been successful in finding out where I can download one. I do have my windows code, but no disk. Any ideas where I can get windows 7?

Just use the free upgrade to Windows 10, it makes older systems run a little better from my experience installing it on old peoples computers. Cost $120 to upgrade to Windows 10 after July 29th as well... so I mean, yeah might as well, I have been on it since launch, not had too many issues honestly. It is smooth and fast, I can't complain.

Windows 10 has shocked me personally. If anyone here knows HP and Toshiba with their proprietary driver sets, then they'd know what a pain it is to get those machines running with any new windows install.

Upgraded to Windows 10 on my old Qosmio and it ran immensely faster than before. It's a crazy OS. I love it.

Trust me, if Toshiba has a smooth transition, your G73 will be even smoother.
