This is my first build so I pretty new to all of this. I can't get BIOS to start up on my new computer. Everything is correctly connected and runs well inside my PC but the monitor I tried using would not receive a signal from the GPU. I switched to an old box monitor and now when I start the computer the screen on the monitor flashes at a steady pace until I turn off my PC. Is the an error light or speaker on the motherboard so I can find out what the problem is? I think the problem may be the GPU. Every component is new except that which is 4 years old and used, (PNY GTX 470). I am only using temporarily. Can anyone help?

Components:
GA 990FXA-UD5
FX-8350 w/ stock cooler for now
8gb Corsair Vengeance (2x4)
Corsair 750w PSU
PNY GTX 470
