Ok so i have had this phone since about October and i cant figure out this problem..
it only happens when i send a text to people with U.S. Cellular and i have ATT
i will send them a text for example

and it comes out like this

it adds a space between every character and if the messages is long they wont even receive it at all so i have to split up a normal 160 character message into about 4 messages just so they receive it, and it only happens from my phone...meaning that they have received texts from other ATT phones and its normal and it only started happening when i got this phone...i had the Galaxy S before this and never had any problems
anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

I would try a third-party messaging app to see if it makes a difference. I use Handcent.

forgot to mention I have tried Gosms and handcent and get the same problem

Do you use a signature or emoticons in messages that come out like that? I think this has something to do with the character encoding.

I have used both emoticons and no emoticons and it still happens ... but never used a signature
