I was hoping for full details tonight but I guess waiting another 2 weeks isn't a huge loss. Looking to replace my 1700 with a 12 core at hopefully much higher clockspeeds.

Why would AMD choose to unveil it at E3 when it is an event in full fledged decadency.

Looks like Intel knows that Ryzen 8c/16t will be faster then 9900K in ST and MT so they will release 9900KS to keep saying "World Fastest Gaming CPU", the Fun part will be when Overclocked, no headroom in 9900KS while AMD gonna have at-least 10~15%.
After another(last time with 28C) 5.0Ghz stunt from intel (9900KS) be ready - AMD will react with good juicy info :).

The rumors suggest $700.
Do we know for sure that there will only be one 16 core SKU though? I doubt that would be so. At 300 watts I feel like Gamers Nexus is quoting an absolute top end model, which I would expect to come in at $999 or more. That's using significantly more power than a TR2 2950x. Clearly AMD is gunning for some serious clocks and we're talking about an overclocked out of the box model that requires water again (like the FX 9xxx chips).

I'm going to have to see some SERIOUSLY impressive single core to consider going near 300 watts instead of just buying a 2950x !! :)

Realistically there will be lower clocked models that can just be OCed, hopefully those come in around your $700 mark. I'm hoping to squeeze into a 12 core myself.

Oh wow. July 7?? My old i7 3770K is dying on it’s very last legs, and I was trying to hold out for Ryzen 3000. I haven’t been following closely but I was under the impression it would be launched at Computex this week.... I don’t think I can wait 6 more weeks 😕

We are close. Last minute rumors are sadly all negative.

What negative rumors? Could be just Intel's damage control.
I mean Computex is in 4 1/2 hours then we will know for sure, but so far I've heard :

- Not many details about the exact specifications of Ryzen 3000 CPUs at computex
- More focus on X570 boards
- The rumors of 3600X at 8c/16t 4.8GHZ and 3700X at 12c/24t 5.0GHZ are false.
- 3600/3600X is not an 8c/16t but still 6c/12t like 2600
- 3700/3700X is not 12c/24t but still 8c/16t like 2700
- clockspeeds are not close to 5GHZ, bust closer to like 4.3 to 4.5 GHZ
- high power draw
- prices are nothing special
- Navi mostly absent and most Ryzen talk at E3 in 2 weeks

This is just whispers and what is floating around. I do not claim that any of this is true. Do not quote me or hold me responsible for this. I am not even sure what to believe right now.

Wasn't he quoting the 9900KS?

Holy sh...... if all that turns out to be true, talk about a letdown of the year. Hell I may just stick with Intel after all. Hope that all ends up being wrong tonight, but what a disappointment.

Could still be good if price and IPC% gains are good. Impossible to say right now.

We have to remember that AMD didn't give us any official information so far besides showing an 8c/16t CPU versus the 9900K in Cinebench being the same speed but consuming less power. That is still a huge win for AMD.

All we know about cores, prices, clockspeeds etc. are just rumors.

It is not like the Ryzen 2000 series are bad CPUs and we can expect Ryzen 3000 to be almost certainly an improvement over that.

However it might look like some rumors may have spiraled out of control and Ryzen3000 are not coming in at $250 obliterating the i9 9900K.

Just a couple more hours then we (maybe?) know more.

Everything is just rumors and I have also heard different things, but I think we should not expect the "INSANE" rumors of a cheap 12 core 24 threads 5.0GHZ to be true.

It won’t be, we already know 12c and 16c parts are out in the wild.

It’s possible that the 16c will be held off on for a while, something that was rumbling around as soon as the original Ryzen 3000 AdoredTV video came out

I can’t speak on pricing, and these CPUs have to be capable of fitting into current AM4 boards, so I suspect we’ll see some sort of new XFR tech to insure faster X570 speeds while maximizing compatibility with previous generation boards.

The 300 watt chip? At the 3 minute mark he says roughly it's confirmed there will be a 16 core CPU, which are at present pushing at towards 300W on air (under water).

I don't believe any 9900k would come remotely close to 300W to run 5ghz

would be hilarious if the 95W @ 4.7Ghz chip went up to 300W for 5ghz. Intel would be meme of the century.

I'm going to watch it just to see.

The 'high power draw' one is the most laughable.

I just don't see why they would talk more about the CPU at E3. GPU, maybe, but E3 is mostly about gaming and 4k / VR performance is what most people care about being shown.
