Games with giant bosses?

Hey guys, I don't know about you, but I love fighting a massive boss in games. Bosses like the ones in Lost Planet (although the game as a whole wasn't that fantastic in my opinion, but it was pretty good) or like what we've seen in the Lost Planet 2 videos or demo.

So, are there any relatively modern games that have huge bosses like that? They don't have to be as big as Lost Planet (although that would be nice), but still gotta be big!

Oh, and I mean action or shooter games. Well, I guess really any genre, just not MMO's or pure RPG games. I don't really like RPG's, although I liked Oblivion and I imagine that I would enjoy Fallout 3.

And I mean for PC, PS3, or 360.

You definitely want to check out Shadow of the Colossus for the PS2. Crysis and Crysis Warhead have some huge bosses, and I think Resistance for the PS3 has some.

god of war 1 and 2

oh and ninja gaiden 1 and 2, and Dmc 1-3.

Crysis also, but it only has like 1 or 2 per game. Still if you have not played Crysis, JUST DO IT!

Probably not your style but Silent Hill 3 (psycological horror) has a big god boss at the end. Probably not your type, but it's a great game.

The Painkiller series have bosses at each levels. Different one which a few ways of fighting them. I haven't play PK but I downloaded the new demo for it.

Shadow of the Colossus for the PS2 has my vote. I do hope they come out with a Blu-Ray HD version of ICO and SoTC.

Batman: Arkham Asylum (Joker on steroids at the end)
I would point you towards Zelda Ocarina of Time, but 1998 just isn't modern enough anymore, I guess. I mean... I like it...

Oh man, I've always wanted to play Shadow of the Colossus, but haven't gone back home to get my PS2, and then I'd probably have to buy it online somewhere. I need to get on that

I still need to get on Crysis too, once I get something that can play it.
And I already played Resistance

Haha, I only played the beginning of the first one, on the ship with the tentacle monster. I plan on getting the God of War collection before God of War 3, which I also plan on getting

Bleh, I've only played some Final Fantasy (but I've played a bit of several different ones, it's been a long time I can't even remember which ones) but I HATE Final Fantasy. I think they're so boring, I just can't get into them.

And I do plan on getting Borderlands eventually!

Haha, I didn't get to finish that one, only played some. I still have my N64, I should get it and finish it!

Never played any of the Silent Hill games. The main reason is because they didn't look that appealing to me, although I've only ever heard good things about Silent Hill 1-3. Maybe one day I will

lol, unless he grows like 20 times in size, that's probably not as big as I was looking for.

I dunno, if it's that hard then I'd probably just end up throwing my controller at our TV. Then I'd have to pay $50 for a new controller, and about $800 to my roommate to replace his TV... haha.

*phew* finally caught up with all the responses. Haha.

ninja gaiden 2 had some really sweet bosses, both massive and average size. I highly recommend you play it.
