Square Enix is about to bring Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions to Android.

The game is a port of the enhanced iOS port of the PSP version, according to Siliconera. It uses touch-screen controls and is available on the App Store for a pricey $15.99. You can expect it to arrive on Google Play shortly for about the same cost.

This version boasts a few extra features. Unit graphics are of a higher resolution, and drawing speed has been increased. These additions will come as an update to iOS at a later date.

Squeenix won't get my money for that crazy price but it's nice to know it's there, I guess.

that's why kiddies shouldn't talk about real games. just go back to your COD and leave FF Tactics alone. it's no way a spinoff.

I did really like Tactics, but I don't like anything SquareEnix does nowadays. I'd rather keep seeing squaresoft upon loading my psx emu. rip squaresoft
android can run emulators just fine too (assuming you own the game btw) the price is kinda a letdown but if the controls would be great for touch screens then I wouldn't mind buying it for my android phone. bought chrono trigger a few months ago in the play store and it was awesome

edit:

im a sucker for classic JRPG's.

FFX (japanese dub w/ english sub) running on psx2e @ 1080p with texture mods/add-ons. it looks awesome

Yessir I play many ePSXe games on my Android phone, and also have the original PSX game on my PS3. I love playing these old pixel games on a PS3 with 50" HDTV

I'm looking into finishing my current savegame on a new acer W7 tablet.

Anyone play emulator games on tablets? I'm curious as how responsive and intuitive the controls are.

the PSX emulator works great on my android phone(you can buy it on the play store). no input lag and sound is perfectly synced. oddly enough my brother's galaxy note 2 is unplayable for me in games like castlevania because of the input lag. I have a much better experience with the psx emulator on my cheap dual core phone.

you got pm btw

edit: i figured I should post it anyway it IS android related after all

guide on installing psx emulator on android phones/devices https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEY3VUtSMPI english isn't my first language (it's not even my second language lol) hopefully it's clear enough to understand. I hope you'll use your own cd's/isos. OCN doesn't condone piracy

FF3 and FF Dimensions in my opinion are absolutely best games I ever played on my android phone. There is no other android games that can compete with those. I don't have problem with the price as long as I can enjoy playing such good games.

EDIT: from here you can see screenshot for the updated graphics

I do, mostly Game Boy Advance. It works very well on a phone and is like playing on an old school Gameboy Color in the way it feels when held, but performance is great. I also play a lot of emulator games on my tablet but I also use a $30 bluetooth controller with it that also worksgreat. Much easier to play faster pace games on a real controller. It is also nice to use HDMI out of the tablet or phone to a TV and then use the wireless bluetooth controller to play. Its like having all the classic game systems hooked up to a modern TV

I will never buy another one of their Android games. They are overpriced and full of drm. The type of drm that stops you from playing. The second choas rings proved this to me.

It has a file check with each restart. Closes if it goes into the background for any reason including a phone call. May or may not have saved your data. Takes almost a minute to reload after each close. Square doesn't care that this drm makes the game unplayable.
