Gaming rig for $350?

Looking to build a gaming rig for $300. No peripherals, just parts + case.

AMD Motherboard is already supplied for $50, which can use AM2/AM2+/AM3
This is the motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128394

Looking to play Heroes of Newerth on this and would be nice if it could run modern warfare 2. (Obviously not at maxed settings)

The monitor in use will be around 19". +Reps for builds.

You'll have to skimp on the CPU, motherboard, and case if you want something at that price.
Good luck.
That was my price budget a while back when I was looking for a gaming PC, and I finally found this Dell XPS 710 for $500 and offered $350 (no hdd included), and the owner took it. It will take some good deal hunting.
I'll *attempt* to put together a decent list

As will I.

Yea, it's kinda tough, but to play heroes of newerth I don't think you'd need a very intensive graphics card. MW2 is a long stretch though.
You could start with an e3200 + an p35 mobo. That starts you at < $100 spent. And it should be a decent OC'r

find a used 9600GT (or better) from the for/sale section here for $50 or so. Then you'd have 200 bucks left for psu, hd, ram, and anything else you'd need.
Buy a used 8800gt or 9600gso here, then get somthing like this

ah ok, forgot to mention something. Already have an AMD motherboard for AM2/AM2+/AM3 for $50, so everything else for $300.
I stretched the bills quite a bit.

Awesome quad-core ddr3 setup for $350, although I ran out of cash for a Case, PSU, and hard drive

shipping will cost you, but at least there are rebates, and it can be upgraded with a better CPU and cooler later, though it's not DDR3
.

oh snap, no HD
. drop to a 4650, and get a HDD for $40. AR you should be on budget.

here's a HDD.

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103688 - $59 shipped

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139008 - $49 shipped (great company, too!)

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231121 - $44

CASE: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811154095 - $27

HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136074 - $49

Total price: $228

Now you have $72 left over for a video card - Really your only bet to get something decent is to scour forums or craigslist. It shouldn't be too hard. I've been seeing 4870's go for ~$100 lately. Maybe pony up and save a few more $$$'s. This build also leaves you room to upgrade in the future (although, it is kind of hard since none of us know what motherboard you're using).

I didn't include a cd/dvd drive, but you can pick those up anywhere for $20 or less.

Good luck, and let us know what you end up getting!

I think this is about as good as you're going to get. It actually isn't bad at all.
