I want to buy new video card but i'm concern that my PSU is not powerful enough. There is EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX(G92) at newegg

The card required minimum 450W 24 Amp PSU. My PSU 500W has 2 12V rails 22Amp each.
Would I be safe to buy this card or should I go with something less power hungry like Radeon 4850 for the same prise?

How about performance wise? Which one is better 9800gtx or 4850?

I'm leaning towards 9800gtx but I have crossfire motherboard so probably I'll buy 4850 or squeeze last crumbs from my mastercard and for $25 more I can get 4870.
