For the many of you that have started the threads asking about when is the actual release and such. Here are the official dates:

March 26

* Official GTX470/GTX480 NDA Expiration at 7:01PM EST
* Launch date for North America
* Specifications are released
* Official pricing info is released
* Benchmarks officially posted
* Reviews are released
* NVIDIA Demos GTX470/GTX480 at PAX East
* Partners receive revised GTX470/GTX480 shipments (due to BIOS update and cooler change)
* Preorders are posted for online retailers

March 27

* Partners ship out cards to retailers
* Launch date for Europe

March 29

* Shipping companies have partner shipments in transit

April 2

* Retailers receive shipments from partners

April 5

* Stock is put into inventory and paperwork is filed

April 6

* Online retailers post stock for GTX470/GTX480 cards

April 9

* GTX470/GX480 hit the selves for stores (Microcenter, etc...)
* Orders are officially online and purchasable

Several online sources (many of which are easily found), a few retailers I have visited and spoke to top level staff (Microcenter, Best Buy, J&R, etc...), various e-mails to online retailers/partners (Newegg, PNY, BFG, a few others) and two NVIDIA staff members members I have contact with (no don't ask me for their contact info). Let me double check on that cause now that you point it out it does seem a little odd.

Wait, i just got his in an email from club SLI:

"If you haven’t heard, NVIDIA will be officially launching the GF100 graphics cards at PAX East 2010. We’d like to take this opportunity to get together with some of our biggest fans……the members of Club SLI. Here’s your chance to meet some of your fellow Club SLI members as well as some of the folks from NVIDIA.

Update: Due to NVIDIA's recent recall (for BIOS and cooler swap reasons) a few date adjustments have been made. See OP.

I'm not sure if microcenter will even carry the gtx480 since the highest card we have are the 5850 and we get shipments of 2 every 2-3 weeks and they sell out instantly. But who knows, hopefully I can grab one/two if they do ship it to us.

thanks for Eyes' we appreciate your work looking into this.

Now I have about $500 saved for a new card, hopefully the 480 isn't to hot, if so I'll snag a 470 and a second later on and have the second best like I did with the 260's and get 2 of em.. They seem so old but they aren't.. lol

Here's to hoping I can get my order in asap!
