Ghost alternatives

What are some good norton ghost alternatives?
not the ones that work within windows, the ones that you boot from CDs
and i want to be able to save the image to another hard disk or USB stick.

You can put Drive Image XML on a BartPE CD.
Acronis True Image free trial version. I've tried all kinds and this is the only one that works right for me. It's simple and to the point.

This one. You get 15 days to use it for free. I only have to use it like maybe 3 times a year though. I just go get the free trial whenever I need to.

I personally use Image for DOS. I've used it myself to create a backup of my PC when just the core drivers and programs are installed - good for a rollback.

It says you need to buy it, but I've downloaded the evaluation version and so far I've not encountered any windows asking me to buy the full version.
