Well first make sure all the cords are properly connected.
Maybe your onboard sound can't handle what you're trying to do. Upgrade the soundcard.

Edit: Do this first,

As Above. If your making and recording music youll get alot of benifit from a dedicated sound card.

Edit: 300th post w00t
There may also be something wrong with some connections on the motherboard itself, make sure if you have any front audio ports, that the cords are fully connected to the motherboard, this may be a interfering issue.
I have my wires connected from the back, all the cords are fine. everything is connected good, I've read up something about the this board having this type of issue. I thought I may needed to update my mobo or something...maybe I should get a new sound card... because this popping is nuts! mainly its wav sounds, mp3 doesn't pop lol
I am confused, is the poping sound coming from the speakers or the system itself?

I would try to get a sound card, there are a few members on here selling new ones for cheap.
Hmm, have you tried other peripherals?

I would do that, then pick up a cheap sound card from a local store to test, and if it fixes it, then theres the problem. If I were you, I would do that, and if that fails, RMA the board if you can.
my soundblaster wont work goood with 7 but my onboard with my ep45ud3p sound works good!
Do you have some unpopped corn kernals near the cpu? Or you may in advertently be frying vermin!!!! Seriously
