I installed a 8800GTS in my Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H mobo earlier tonight. Now the mobo wont POST. I removed the BIOS battery and held the power button for 5 seconds and that didnt help. I tried using the onboard video to see if it was the gpu, still nothing.

Is there anything else i should try or should i just RMA the mobo?

How long have you had this board for? If so did the problem occur only after you put in the new 8800 card? Also, do any of the fans turn on? Try booting with one ram module at a time too.

ive had mobo for about 2 months. I took out a 9600GT for the 8800GTS. All of the fans turn on. The monitor never comes out of standby. Ill try the singe stick of ram.

Turns out the NB was fried. The stock hs wasnt even touching it. RMA turnaround was about 3 weeks.
