GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P and C3 stepping compatibility

I am preparing to make the jump to DD3 and a better chipset. After reading the AM3 Motherboard Buyers Guide posted on this forum I decided to go with the Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P

Does anybody have experience using an AMD Phenom II X4 965BE (C3) with this motherboard out of the box? I need to upgrade my processor to AM3 and I don't want to downgrade so that only leaves two choices, the 955BE or the 965BE (preference).

My concern is compatibility with an older bios. I don't have another AM3 processor so I need to be able to get the computer running to flash to the newest bios. Is it even compatible with the C3 965 at all? I checked the website and it has support for the C2 965 and the C3 945 but I don't see the C3 965.

Any information or personal experience anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. I just want to make sure I get a compatible processor for this motherboard. Thanks.

I have that setup. And they it works PERFECTLY together out of the box. Its a very good board.
So you didn't even need to flash the bios? That's great news. By the way Chris, thank you for putting together the AM3 Motherboard Guide. It was very helpful in my quest for a good board.
Thanks. I didn't have to flash the bios for the board to work with the C3. But I did flash the bios anyways just for the update and added features and things like that.
