Hey all. I've found both the Gigabyte 6870/6850 at $239 and $179.

I'm wanting to max out a few games, but mostly plan on video editing with my rig.
Crysis, Far Cry 2, Bio Shock 2, Fall Out 3, Doom3(oldie but goodie) and possibly a few other games are what I'd like to see maxed out(with as much AA as possible) in 1920/1080. Is there really much of a difference in these two cards for the price difference?

The two in particular I'm going with don't have the huge boxy housing, which on my board would block access to some of my SATA ports..and the 2 that I've found shouldn't be a problem.

OH, and do the fans on these kinds of cards blow air onto the circuitry, or blow the heat off?

If you're into overclocking, the 6850 can easily hit 6870 performance. The 6870 doesn't have much headroom to overclock. Both are good cards for the price.
