Hi all who read this,

I was just wondering if anyone has experince with overclocking the bklc on this board i am relatively new to overclocking..
I have changed the multiplier to get 5ghz but want to know how overclocking the MOB base frequency works with the multiplier..

do i need to increase the voltage of a simple multiplier overclock or would i be reducing the voltage. as i currently have a multiplier set to 45 with voltage at 1.275v

would i be reducing the voltage if i increased the base frequency to 102-103.. or would i be increasing.. i just do not know.. so any help or pointers would be great ..

Thanks

well all the devices that base off the PCI-E clock of 100mhz will also have their clock increased because PCI-E and BCLK are tied together at 100mhz from the same clock gen. That means your GPUs PCI-E, SATA, USB and a lot of other devices that use the 100mhz clock will all have their buses OCed, and many of them including some GPUs can't handle increased bus speed. I have heard of corruption of GPUs to even death, and some HDDs and such can corrupt too.

1-3 mhz extra is okay, but i wouldn't run more than that 24/7
