I've been wanting to try a glass desk for ages. Every wooden desk I've ever had ends up looking bad within a year -- mainly because the top surface begins to rub off.

Can anyone recommend a nice looking, fairly simple glass computer desk? The ones I've always seen have been either too small, cheap looking, or funky looking. Preferably, it wouldn't have a keyboard slide out and be fairly large (atleast 40", up to about 70"). An L shape is ok, but if straight would be nicer.

Why not get a custom cut piece of glass for the top of your current desk and refinish the wood so it looks better?

I always wanted a glass desk also... they are hard to keep clean or maybe I'm just a scuzz, like 2-3 times a day I'm cleaning off smudges and crumbs, my old laminated crap wood desk maybe once a month whether it needed it or not.

The keyboard tray is pretty massive but my monitor seems kinda small, and my eyes suck so I gotta get close.

I just posted this pic on the keyboard forum, but I got this desk at target for like $70 I think:
