I know the Ati cards aint that good in folding as nvidia!

with the 4870x2 i think you should expect PPD in the 5k area
and you can run dual SMP clients on your cpu, not sure about its PPD though...

Yea i guessed at around 4k each gpu and atleast 2k if not lots more from the cpu.

Should be ranging from 3k-5k PPD on each core of the GPU. ATi WU's have a large PPD spread. The cpu I would imagine to get around 2.5K.

Keep in mind though. The ATi folding client requires that you have one cpu core per gpu core. So that means in order to get your 4870X2 going properly, you are going to have two cores of your cpu already fully utilized.

thanks to you to!

hmm, didnt know that!

So another question for you, the PPD, does it only count after 24hours or is it 12 hours at a time? or maybe I have gotten it all wrong and its none of them?

It's 24 hours. However, programs like Fahmon can make estimates based off of work unit speed. Actual PPD will vary though.

Another thing about that 1 cpu core per gpu. I have only folded on xp so far so it could just be my OS that requires that. I recommend you play around as I could be completely wrong.

Just 2500 PPD on a 4.3GHz CPU? (You changed CPU again?! You couldn't live with only 4GHz eh?
)

My Q9450 at 3.6GHz gets around 3300~3500PPD with 1760 pointers.

My 4850 pulls about 3500ppd when I run it, just to give a frame of reference. Fold on brothaman!
