Gravity!

Actually, I am serious. I started my rig out caseless, and I just set them on top of anti-static bags due to my paranoia. But of course, I organized it so it looked pretty too. It was like that for over a month, and to be honest, I kinda miss it.

I are sorta caseless just now.

Just make sure that you don't short out any cables and you'll be fine.

And by all means, find a way to mount the optical drives high enough so that they're within easy reach!

That's not necessary. Seriously, just set them wherever right on top of anti-static bags.

Oh, also, try and find a place to mount a fan to cool your RAM/NB. I had to.

Make sure if you have a large video card, that you put some tape to hold it up. Mine tips forward and I was kind of afraid for my PCIE slot haha.

Other than that, try not to bend any expansions and you should be fine.

So are you saying that your motherboard was kept vertical? I mean, if somebody's going caseless, then graphics card won't lean in any direction. It'll just sit there. That's because they're likely to just rest the motherboard flat somewhere.

DO NOT place your hardware on top of anti-static bags. These bags actually conduct electricity across the outside. They are designed to protect hardware contained inside them. TwoCables lucked out, but you may not be so lucky. I recommend putting the motherboard on top of the box it came in so the expansion cards can hang off and seat well in the slots.

Place it out of reach of small children, siblings, pets, and drink spills..
if your cat has a thing for your table i would reccommend putting your rig ontp of a bookcase or sumfin
