Hello.

It says MX4 would be "cheap". Still, it is a high price per pound or kg.
Are there also acceptable "no-name" pastes?
I found tests in which the "HY" pastes also performed well. HY810 even better than HY880. And equivalent to "GD900".
Are ALL MX4's on Ali fakes? Are all GD900s on Ali fakes?
Are there any larger containers of thermal paste on Ali/eBay that are acceptable and inexpensive?
Possibly 20, 30, 40, 50 grams, up to ~ 1.5 ounces for "a few dollars".
Even an ounce for $ 5, 6, 7 is OK if the paste is acceptable.
A particularly good budget product can also cost more.

Thermagic ZF-EX paste is real and the same paste as Thermalright TFX
Both on aliexpress are fine.

SYY paste is extremely good. They have their own factory in China.
It seems to be of the same base materials as TFX/ZF-EX, but with different viscosity. It's much easier to spread than TFX/ZF-EX while still being of a high thickness. Just not oppressively so like TFX.
And unlike TFX, you get a lot more paste for the money.

FWIW GD900 for me ran close to 10C hotter than kryonaut on both my cpu and gpu

But if you want to consider "acceptable" GD900 certainly is that, in my opinion. My max temps were around 55 degrees, which is still plenty cool, and nowhere near thermal throttle

You have to get it from Aliexpress. Just search for it there. Tons of shops. Average is $8.00 shipped per 2 grams.

8 grams for $12 after coupon. And this seems to be the same basic composition as TFX / ZF-EX (tested by doing the finger rub test and then on GPU), performance is exactly the same as TFX / ZF-EX, but much easier to spread than TFX (still thick, just not as thick). And a hell of a lot cheaper.

They actually emailed me and said they're coming out with another version with a different name that is easier to apply. I guess people are complaining about viscous pastes now
