I really hate to install a back plate on my motherboard it seems a bit complicated.... Are there any good coolers out there that are just strap in? Or no?

I'm not sure if there are any without back plates, usually its not an issue.
It's not as complicated as you think, and bigger and better coolers need the support.

You could also get a case like a CM Storm Scout, It has an opening right behind
the CPU for easy back plate installation. haha, just saying because i own one.
Never really change my back plate anyways.

Back plate is best way to go! Pull out that board, slap it on, and be done with it! It's not that hard. Best HS to CPU contact!

so what is a good cooler you guys think i can get? To be honest my 25 dollar cooler did a good job but thats because of my ambient temperature. It used to run my cpu at 30 idle and 50 max load and thats on 1.45v. I just wonder what kind of temp those high end coolers can get me?? I think i can spend around 50 bucks...

Well you know what I say. $60.00 plus 2 120mm fans, or 1 38mm!

but doesn't that require me to have it face towered my gfx card? I have a 5870 on the way and i am not sure if that's a good idea.

No backplate = less mounting pressure + mobo warping.

Ok, But do you guys think its a good idea to have it mount looking down? Is there room since I will have a 5870? or it wouldn't matter?
