Hi everybody,
Recently I came across a load of hand written and typed notes that I need to convert to word 2007 format. Due to the nature of this task, I think the OCR technology would be the best as I have a scanner available at all times. What would be a good OCR software for this task?

Handwritten notes are going to be iffy regardless of the software. Free OCR packages typically aren't very good. I have used Omnipage in the past and find it to be quite accurate, and it can do saving/conversion to a number of formats including Word.

The full version of HyperSnap6 works very well for that, if you don't mind paying... otherwise I haven't found any freeware that works anywhere close to as well as HS6.
