I will be renting this after the kids are in bed tonight!
Something I have always wanted, and even written letters to Amazon, Google, and Netflix, is getting movies released to streaming platforms at or very near launch in theaters. I have even suggested in those letters that they could charge more than a standard movie rental. In this case they are only charging $6 to watch it, so that is pretty damn sweet!
Either way, paying $30 to rent a movie and stream it on release or a week after theater release is still cheaper than taking a family to the movies. It also gives those of us that might not be able to make it to the theater for various reasons the chance to enjoy the new movies.
HOPEFULLY!
HOPEFULLY!
This little experiment will prove that movies can exist both in and out of theaters at the same time!

Link to movie!Last Wednesday Sony began contacting a number of companies, including Google, to ask if we'd be able to make their movie, "The Interview," available online. We'd had a similar thought and were eager to help-though given everything that's happened, the security implications were very much at the front of our minds.
