I got a 10% increase in performance on my RAID 0 array using the latest IRST Driver......

Intel Rapid Storage Technology v14.10.0.1016

RAID Driver v14.10.0.1016

I must note that when I simply upgraded from the older driver to this one, the performance increawe was just a few more points up in ASSSD Benchmark so I id a complete format and oh my!! I have never felt my system snappier.

Look at those 4K Random Read/Write speeds on a RAID 0 setup, very impressive.

Mind you this is on a laptop!

Here are my laptop specs:

EUROCOM SKY X9 - Intel Skylake i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz | G.SKILL Ripjaws 64GB DDR4 2800 MHz. RAM | GeForce GTX 980 (Desktop Class) | Sound Blaster 3D Audio | 2x Samsung 950 Pro 512GB SSD + 2x Samsung Spinpoint 5400 RPM 2TB HDD | Killer Wireless-AC 1535 | 17.3" LG LP173WF4-SPF1 IPS FHD Matte Screen (G-SYNC) | 2x330W AC Power Adapters | Windows 10 Pro

RAID 0 / 16K Data Stripe Size
Cache Mode: Write Back
Link Power Management: Disabled
Write-Cache Buffer Flushing: Disabled

In all the years I have been using IRST Drivers, I have never seen a driver update that provides such a huge performance increase, this driver is gold man, snappiness to the max. 4K speeds on RAID 0 have never been so good.

Very nice indeed, glad I clicked on your thread, I just did a clean install last week since this is a new laptop, and forgot to install the IRST anyway lol

Maybe time to try raid again if these drivers give that much a bump. Have you had any array stability issues? My best score a few months ago on my system in R0...

Awesome score man!

The only reliability issue I faced ones was due to a wrong overclock. I tried a 4.7 GHz overclock on my laptop which has a 6700K CPU and that messed up the Windows Boot Loader so I had to format.

So if you want to try overclocking, do all your overclocking/testing before you are on RAID 0, once you find your stable settings, then you will be fine installing Windows on RAID

Does this work with Samsung Magician? Because I use Samsung Magician as well this, no issues so far, but just worried I might be messing something up...

I have a question! Correct me if I'm wrong but to use v14.10 are we required to have a NUC thingy or are these drivers the same as the ones below? (I have a Samsung EVO 840 not in RAID)

RAID: Intel® Rapid Storage Technology for Intel® NUC
v14.10.0.1016
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25910/RAID-Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-for-Intel-NUC

Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) RAID Driver (I use 13.1.0.1058 @ Z77)
14.8.0.1042
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25165/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-RAID-Driver?product=55005

Anvil's SSD Benchmark - Intel RST v13.1.0.1058 /w corresponding BIOS module.

Can I use this in conjunction with Samsung Magician being on (rapid mode on as well)?

That's for NUC systems, don't use that

Download this: Intel Management Engine Driver 11.0.2.1002, even though it says 11.0.2.1002 in the description, when you install it, it shows as v11.0.4.1184 in Control Panel > Prorams & Features. That's the right driver for desktop computers and laptops not the NUC one

yes, it's just a controller driver if you are not using RAID so it'll work

"The installer detects the system's capabilities and installs the relevant drivers and applications.'

I'll run a bench after install / reboot.

EDIT: Benchmarks! lol

then you're benchmarking your RAM not your SSD

From my test Intel RST in RAID 1 read from both disc at the same time = 2x speed one disk (like RAID 0) and write is with small penalty compare with single disk configuaration...
single disk read +- 500MB/s
single disk write +- 230MB/s

in RAID 1 read +- 980MB/s
in RAID 1 write +- 230MB/s

details...Intel RST+SSD 535
