also has 2x256 pc3200 sincle sided nanya tech. ram.
40 gb SATA Drive
also have a 120gb IDE i could throw in.

Is it worth buyin a new mobo, and if so, which one? dont wanna spend a ton... or could I run ddr2 with it until i can afford a conroe, if I was to get a better motherboard?

also, any ideas how it would compare to a athlon 64 3000+ for gaming?

well, you could set up a secondary system with it, and fold... I guess it would be on par with your 3000+, i dont think ull see a diffrence besides DDR2.

Yeah, would I be able to say, get the mobo, ram and video card, all while using the p4, then in a couple months upgrade to a conroe? Im just curious, I have this thing, and it feels like a waste just sitting there...

And I have a buyer for around 550 for my rig in my sig, and then I could just use that money to get some of the stuff I need, then upgrade to the conroe in a month or two..

Yea you could get a good mobo and toss that into it, would be pretty close to the a64 you got for gaming. Depending on how much you spend on the vid card you would be better off doing it that way.
