You could do better for cheaper by going 939, but for a dual core AM2 build on a budget it's quite solid.

But you should just get a Conroe...

This is just a fun built to see how cheap a computer can get and still be great for gaming you know, you guys think a e6300 will be cheaper and a better choice?

If I go C2D I think I will end up paying like $100 more.

No OS needed.

Looks solid but I'd usually recommend a conroe now not unless you have a brand preference.

same here, but it's still little cheaper than a c2d built I think.

Just a little come to think of it. Its like 100 dollars diff if you keep the RAM and switch out the CPU and mobo(depending on what mobo)

yeah, I'd rather spend 100 more dollars for C2D.
