Got the RE5 XBOX360 Elite!(From WorstBuy..lol)

I have been having problems with my almost 2 years old 20GB Pro model, and I finally brought it to Bestbuy today and asked for an exchange to an equal value RE5 Elite(got my Pro when it's 399)

As expected, the guy at Bestbuy try to screw me over and saying that I can only get the Pro now because their replacement plan will only exchange technology value to technology value and the Pro now is 299 and blah blah blah. After he try to explain the whatever BS I told him, "I'm sure I can get the Elite because it's current price matches the value I purchased the Pro and bought the plan for, let me talk to the manager". Then he went to some place and probably pretend that he talked to the manager and told me they will do it only this time...(yea BS)

now I got the new RE5 Elite from WorstBuy and I'm really happy about it...although some people don't like the color but I think the red is pretty cool.

o hell yah, if u bought your pro for 399$ which you did no question about it, then u deserve to choose whatever 399$ current xbox you want! post pictures of it if you could.

Cool, I got my red xbox 360 on friday as well. I needed one because my 20 gig had the RROD again and was out of warrenty. Hopefully this new jasper chip will stop this issue from poping up.

Uploaded a pic of the console and the red controller...I like how they put the black part on the HDD and controller.

And exactly! I paid for the replacement plan to cover my $399 purchase not my $299 purchase

pretty neat! its always nice when you get what you should for your money. sony replaced my ps3 just weeks after I bought it. although its not nice when they at first pretend you shouldnt get what you're owed in your case.

ugh - that red is TOO bright
They should've done a crimson color then bright blood red.

Agree with Omega. May be your flash, but that Red is definitely too bright which I was afraid of.

Oh well. I'm glad you have a Jasper though. Say goodbye to worries.

I don't see the need for hating on Best Buy numerous times, considering I've gotten nothing but good items from there.

Me too but they tend to be extremely pricy sometimes.
Aside from that, they have some really awesome deals every once in a blue moon (got my 4870x2 for $450 I think it was)

And I got my 32" Samsung for less than $500 which beats any of the Vizio junk from Wal-Mart.

They may have high prices, but they have good merchandise.

Wish the weather was good here so I could go paint this 360 case and I wish my Umbrella logo would arrive.

Why the hell wouldn't they do an ultimate special edition and make an actual RE themed 360? Crimson with like the umbrella logo on it or something with a collage of the characters or anything more than just a bright red system, seems kinda dull to me, no?

Hey, I'm making a gloss black with red and the Umbrella logo on it

Only reason is because they failed at making a good themed console for the 360 based on Resident Evil. A bright red console is not good enough.

That's what inspired me to make this post lol when I saw your idea for the RE 360, dunno why they wouldn't make something like that, it would sell TONS to all the RE fanboys across the world!

I know. Omega said Crimson Red would be better for their Elite, but I still think the Red just doesn't work. I found a great Umbrella logo and got it designed and am trying a vinyl sticker first so hopefully it'll work out. I can't stand that they made a console red. I find it ugly. I thought a darker black with red, like the opposite of what they made, would have worked much better, with a RE logo or Tri-Cell/Umbrella logo on the top. I've been obsessed with the Umbrella logo for 11 years so I'm definitely trying to make something better than the junk they released.

Lol yeah me too, before I quit COD4 I was trying to Prestige enough to get the Umbrella logo and max that out!
