i was changing my gpu to a 16x slot because it was in a 4x(i know) and it stopped working while in the 16x so then i change it back to the 4x and it worked, so i put it back into the 16x and it worked so i screwed it back in and turn my computer upp off its side and when i turned it on it didnt work. then i tried my other 16x slot and it did the same thing. its defently either my gpu or motherboard.
i have a amd 8350
gigabyte 7870
650watt corsair
gigabyte ud7 motehrboard

If shifting your computer is causing it to work/not work, my first thought would be a short somewhere or lose cable. Tracking something like that down can be a hastle (in the order of rebuilding your comptuer to make sure everything is tight).

Second thought would be towards the motherboard, then PSU, then GPU. If you have any spares of any of those, test with them.
