is there software that tells the temp of my 9800 pro?

Riva Tuner. It's nice because it works with ATI and nVidia cards. Also, ATI tool is a much simpler utility that reads temps and also allows you to find stable core/mem speeds for overclocking. For an ATI card, I would reccomend ATI tool.
