Not sure when this started, but I noticed it after installing the 250.71 drivers (great update btw, loving the new stuff)
I have an Nvidia GTX 275 and use Rivatuner to manually and automatically set fan speeds based on GPU temp. However, I recently noticed that the temp is always 65C and the fan speed is always 54%
For one thing, just looking at the card, feeling heat coming from the heat sink, and listening to the fan - I am certain that neither of these are correct. It is cooler than 65C and the fan looks like it is the default 25%
I mean - that's listening to the fan and judging how fast it's going - but it's not 54% I know that.
I have used GPU-Z and MSI Afterburner to confirm these readings and they all show the same. I cannot manually set the fan speed, it does not respond. And the temperature reading does not increase when I am running programs or benchmark programs that are clearly making it hotter than that.
I have not yet reinstalled drivers or anything, thought I would come here first.
What's going on here?
What can cause this problem and how can I fix it?
