First off great chart! Question though.. How is the Gtx780 6GB Faster then a Titan despite having less cores?

I got to bump the 290x up on the list.
Ah I see, no reference version, didnt think of that. I think its in its right place where you've put it now though. Can I also suggest Titan Black needs moving down as well, it's the same chip as the 780ti with extra compute and more VRAM. So it performs a touch better then 780ti but 980 is better (As long as youre not using >4GB VRAM)

Don't hate me, I promise I wont come back with any more suggestions now

They are indeed very close cards, but according to AnandTech, the GTX 970 is 1% faster than the 290x.

Additionally, Tom's Hardware February GPU Recommendations says the same:

Hmm its an interesting one that because according to TPU 1080p and below the ref 970 is better then ref 290x but at 1440 and 4k the 290x is ahead.

Also worth noting the EVGA card at Anand is technically overclocked even at 'stock'... http://www.anandtech.com/show/8568/the-geforce-gtx-970-review-feat-evga/2

Can you do a tie?

"But these AMD-supplied benchmarks-which were obviously chosen to place the Radeon in the best possible light-show the two cards performing fairly neck-and-neck in most games. "

I'm hoping it is the case, but I have a feeling that the AIO cooled FuryX is clocked up quite high at stock in order to get those numbers, whereas the reference 980Ti has pretty conservative clocks, It's like comparing one card under custom water vs an air cooled reference card, I know AMD have come out and said that FuryX overclocks well but I think it's best to see what happens when people outside AMD get a hold of the card.

Also not forgetting at 4K at the moment things always look a bit rosier for AMD. Nothing wrong with that but many of us are still on 1080/1440

Lets wait a bit and see.

Hi Anth

The reference GTX 770 has moved down the charts these days, its out done by the 7970GHZ, 280X, R9 380 and R 9 285 now according to TPU with newer drivers on both sides. Its a touch better then the GTX 960 on TPU's test suite.

I would estimate the 7970 non GHZ is maybe still a touch behind due to its lower clocks, no one really tests it anymore though. This also means the 680 also moves down as it's the same card with a different BIOS

Thanks again for the list, really useful to have a dynamic one like this

In fact, like mentioned above the AMD cards have continually seen improvements with subsequent driver releases thus making original reviews or even benchmarks from 1 year ago no longer relevant. I'd like to see an extensive test using current drivers with R9 Fury and Fury X vs 980 TI, 1070, and 1080.
TPU state that none of their results are recycled, so heres one

The Titan RTX isn't much faster stock then a 2080Ti as far as I can find from reviews. 3080 is the fastest card available currently if that's the case, by quite a distance.
