RTX 2080 goes above GTX 1080 Ti (just barely, 1080 Ti aftermarket boards beat RTX 2080).

From my perspective GTX1080 is better shoping than any Vega model.
But GTX1080Ti overclocked models are better than RTX2080, more video memory could be important next year.

Ok, let's see.

1. HD 7970 GHz is the same thing as R9 280X, so they should be on par. That's a fact.

2. According to hardware unboxed this year's made benchmark, GeForce GTX 980 Ti = GTX 1070 = GTX 1660 Ti:

All of them should be on the same level, and all should be above R9 Fury X. In fact, GTX 1660 Ti seems to be the weakest, but it will catch up in 2020, so, that's a fact.

3. GTX 690 - a 2 GB frame buffer card would suffer tremendously these days. But i can not be sure, there are no comparative benchmarks to test GTX 690 vs. modern cards, every benchmark that i find in 2019 only reviews the card itself, with nothing else to compare, so perhaps i will have to check this myself in the future.

4. RX 580 has become way more potent in the last two years. It now constantly beats GTX 1060 6 GB. Two years ago they were equal, now RX 580 8 GB should be just below RX 590.

5. RX 480 8 GB = RX 570 8 GB = GTX 980 = GTX 1060 6 GB, but this is debatable.

6. RX 470 8 GB = RX 570 4 GB = R9 390X = R9 290X 8 GB (yes, there is an R9 290X with 8 GB VRAM)

7. RX 470 4 GB = GTX 780 Ti = R9 290X = GTX 970 = R9 390

8. GTX 1650 is 10 % slower than GTX 1060 3 GB, but still, that's definitely enough to put it above GTX 780 3 GB, but perhaps below GTX 780 6 GB. Questionable though...


Basically what i am trying to say is AMD has moved forward since 2017, I am basing these observations on gamer's nexus and hardware unboxed benchmarks.

I've noticed that GTX 1080 Ti is now below RTX 2070 Super? What latest tests prove this?

Vega 64 is faster on average than both 2060 and GTX 1080.

When the 7900 GTX was released, it had stability issues from the vRam running to fast. The original batches saw very high RMA's and finally Nvidia admitted to using inferior vRam IC's. There was a "recall" and the later batches of the 7900 GTX used a faster Samsung IC for the vRAm. These recalled 7900 GTX's were re-branded as the GTO and resold at a lower price point.

These should be swapped (or just remove the GTO):
