Graphics Problem

Hello,

I've been having a problem with using Microsoft Office programs because of what appears to be these small lines along parts of the screen. I've tried Googling, but I haven't had any luck finding similar problems. Here's a screenshot of the issue.

I know it is not the monitor because I've used a different one but still have the same issue. I managed to find that turning my hardware acceleration close to none via the advanced graphics settings fixes the problem, but that makes it difficult to use some applications. Also, I've tried different drivers, but I get the same issue.

My cheap Dell from 2004's specs are:

Pentium 4 3.0 w/ HT
2GB of DDR RAM
Sparkle 8500GT PCI GFX Card (No AGP slot)

It wouldn't kill me to just change my hardware acceleration depending on what application I feel like using, but it'd be nice to know what the problem is.

Thanks for reading.

Your video card seems to be fried. Sorry dude, that's usually from the cards RAM being burnt out. Can you RMA the card?

Agreed Fried - time for new card (or better yet, new computer!)

Hmm, that doesn't sound good. I bought the card from Newegg in early February, so I'm not too sure about RMAing. It's probably not worth the trouble anyways. I'm probably just going to live with it until I get enough money to build a nice gaming rig. This thing I have now has about had it.

Thanks for the replies.
