The FPS are horrible.. I thought I had the settings too high, so I turned everything down to minimum and I still only get 35FPS in the benchmark. No HDD spikes, minimal CPU and GPU usage, nothing. It just won't run faster for some arbitrary reason

Any suggestions? I've seen other people getting 60FPS with the same card, so what gives?

Do you have the latest game patch?

I know that helped me with every aspect of the game. This was when I had my 5850; The game would stutter and be absolute garbage. I updated to the latest patch and I could run the game on high.

Just bought it off of Steam, I'm assuming it has the latest patch. Maybe not..

It should have. Easiest way to check is go into the options menu and see if you have an option for night shadows.

Its probably CPU more than anything else in your case. Its not exactly the greatest running game around, I only get 30-40ish FPS with it completely maxed on a GTX 470. I believe the EFLC runs a bit better, somewhere around 5-10 FPS.

I was using a tri core at 3.6ghz, the game isn't as bad as everyone thinks...

Its very inconsistent with performance though, some rigs that shouldn't run it well do completely fine and others than should destroy it run it very badly. At least that's what I've seen on OCN anyway.

Yea mine runs well, but sometimes I get weird lag spikes and I'm pretty sure I'm well above specs for it
Just try like everyone suggested patching if it's not patched but it's really just the game that has issues with various setups

Ok, so (and I have no idea why) it's running at 50-60 FPS on high/very high. Well, issue resolved I guess, I wish I knew what its problem was before.. Thanks everyone

I have the exact same setup as you, and while I get some little dips here and there I am getting average of about 50-60 fps. No clue man

I've been able to play it just fine with my system. Even when I had a single gtx260. Ran amazing with a GTX470.
