hmmm, fill out your system specs.

do you already have a black edition? or are you thinking about buying two? if you don't have them yet, i would recommend EVGA 260's as i beleive the blacks run on 65nm die.

i think the corsair unit should be able to run SLI as its a quality PSU, but would be quite close.

is your quad overclocked?

850w?! thats a bit excessive.

650 might stuggle i would say a good quality 700 to be safe.

I already have the following setup.

Antec 900 Case
PC Power & Cooling S75QB 750W
i7 920 BX80601920 Retail
Artic Silver 5
stock cpu heatsink/fan
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 (F6 bios)
G.Skill 6GB F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ
LG 22X DVD GH22NS30
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB sata 3GB/s
XFX GX260NADBF GTX 260 core 216 Black Edition - 2 SLI

So far intel turbo mode enabled, c states disabled, qpi 6.4, XMP enabled. Still using the factory cooler, all case fans set on high.

3dmark vantage gave around 12k on 1 when I built it in January and 22k when I added the second GPU last month.

I tried OC, but didn't like the 80C temps on the CPU I was seeing at 3ghz and figured that Intels turbo mode was better at 60-70C.

Advise.

You guys think the Corsair 650 can't handle dual 260s? I'm surprised. Anyways, the 750 could easily do it, but that would stink having to upgrade your PSU for just that reason.

I'd try to nab some 55nm 260s like the EVGA or MSI ones that use less power, and can overclock to surpass the black edition most likely.
