Whilst trying to repair my GTX 280, the fan connector soldered to the board came off, and now the fan doesn't work so I've had to rig up 2 120mm fans, which looks awful and is a temporary solution at best.
So, now I'm looking for a new cooler - as long as it cools adequetely at stock and can plug into the fan headers on the mobo rather than the ones on the GPU, it doesn't matter, so I'm not looking for anything wonderful. I do have one major requirement though - it MUST NOT take up any more slots than the stock GTX 280 cooler.
So far, the only one I've found is the Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme GTX 280, and I don't want to spend that kind of money. So are there any others that will do the trick?
If I can't find one, I'm going to trade it for a 4870 until fermi comes out, so my folding will take a massive hit
