thats my question, a gtx 285 1 gb will fit in my case soprano?

Dimension (H*W*D) 17.3 x 7.9 x 19.7 in
440 x 200 x 500 mm

Q: What is the longest graphics card that may be used with this chassis?
A: This chassis will fit a video card that is no longer than 10.5"

GTX 285 IS LONGER OR NO??

If your talking about a Thermaltake Soprano, then no it won't fit. I ghetto hacked my old soprano just to fit my GTX260 in it back in the day. I recommend busting out a tape measure just to make sure, but I'd say it doesn't look good.

Yes it does fit. I have the Soprano and had a GTX 285 in it. Just relocate your HDD's out of its way. I currently have a GTX 470 in that case.

This pic had my GTX 260 in it but later I switched that to a 285 which is the same length.

Maybe the old soprano is different then the one you have now. My old soprano was about a inch of overlap with the card and HDD cage. I distinctly remember murdering it with metal sheers to make it fit.

Mine is the Soprano RS. Check my post above yours I added a pic.

EDIT: Yea I just found out there are more than one version of that case >.<

Tt says the original Soprano can hold up to 9.5" GPU's and the RS version that I have can do up to a 10.5"
