I'm looking to purchase a 295 and wondering how much ppd you guys get with your 295s. What are they overclocked to and what are your temps and fan speed? I am debating between a gx2 and a 295 but would only get a 295 if it can get about 20k ppd

GTX 295 gets about 16-18K PPD I would think. It performs about the same as two GTX 260's and my GTX 260 (overclocked to 1544 shaders) gets 8-9k PPD.
Here's a database for most cards; it says around 8k for the 295 (per core).
A 295 is basically two 275's. In theory, it can get the same ppd as two 275's at the same clocks. Is it more difficult to overclock a 295, I don't know. The older models have the volterra vrm's and you can adjust voltage via software. The co-op doesn't have the same vrm's and you can't adjust the voltage.

There is only one 295 in that database and I would say that his clocks are rather low, but what do I know about about how well a 295 clocks. I think that most of the 55nm gtx 2xx series can clock past 1566. I'd say that you atleast need mid 1600's shader speed to be able to break 20k. Will it get 20k every day, I doubt it. But will most likely show 20k in fahmon.
You're looking at about 9k per core

Therefore, about 15-20k depending on WUs

It doesn't get 2x275 ppds. Just a lil less. I've never gotten 9k ppd per core before on mine.
With the shaders @ 1584 my 295 is averaging 8686 ppd per core according to EOC over the last 4 weeks. I'd like to get it on water one of these days so I can bump the shaders more without having to worry about crashing on a 511.

Indeed. you guys can look at ftw_420s ppd under ftw_420_gpu. That's on one core of his 295.
