Nice. that makes me feel better about finnally getting right at 19K in 3DMark06 with my sig rig below. Just j/k. Very nice score

I see that your setup is also running a GTX 280. Is that set up as an Nvidia physx proccesor? Just wondering cause that is a very noticeable diff. between Physx On and Off. That makes me want to get a bigger PSU to drop in my old 8800GT for Physx.

Also what do you mean by "mode:high/extreme? Is that 295 not fully Oc'd yet? I think me and my computer might cry after we see those benchmarks!! Good luck keep up the great work.

Oh I took the 280 out since there's no use of it other than wasting power and blocking the 295's intake. I had 2x 280s, and apparently this second 280 managed to fall so far behind in the EVGA step-up queue.

The benchmarks are done with only the 295 while the 280 chilling on my shelf. If you ask me, there's no point of getting a dedicated card for PhysX, but it's not a bad idea to get that card for [email protected]

High and Extreme are the other presets in Vantage, just like Performance. (Performance score is marked by a P in front of the score, Extreme is marked by an X, etc.)

As for the OC, that's the highest shader strap it'll run, and the core won't touch 700 anyway so I set it to 666 for fun. I haven't tried anything higher than 1215 for the memory. I'll upload High and Extreme results later tonight.

sell that 8800gt and just buy the ageia ppu the thing uses like 20w.
And it does about the same.

I finally found an XFX version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Temperatures please?
Can you get the next shader strap?
Have you tried voltage tuner yet?

Ahha. Well I will be waiting on that update. By the way do you think that the 295 is bottlenecking your processor, even at that speed? Just curious cause I hear that that card is an absolute beast. It would be a shame if you weren't seeing it's full potential.

Good suggestion, but I'm gona keep it and stick it in my old Dell E510 along with my Antec TPT 550W PSU, to give to my brother so we can LAN games in the house.

The highest I've seen is about 85C on the hottest core during the benchmark. It can creep into the low 90's in Furmark but that's unrealistic load. Stays at around mid-70's in L4D.

1512 is the highest shader strap mine can hit. It's stable for 2 hours of stress testing, but 1566 wouldn't even be stable for 2 minutes. I haven't tried voltage tuner yet; does it even work with the 295?

That's what we'll find out.

There's no doubt that even a 4GHz i7 would bottleneck a 295 at a miserable 1280x1024, but then most gamers have moved out of that resolution. The real comparison would be at 1680x1050 and 1920x1200, where the effect of CPU bottleneck minimizes.

Is that auto fan control?
Supposedly works quite well with the 295.

Yep. I've had 260s and 280s, and I have to say that this auto fan control is the most precise of them all.

Muwhaha not me. I game on a 19" CRT monitor (for the better refresh rates). The default res. that I game at on that is 1152x864. I have a CRT 32" TV as well that I play at 1024x768 on!! You should run some benches at those res's and see what kinda frmaes you get
People might say I need a new TV but I can't see any way to afford what a 30+" LCD will cost me.

Plus, why get an upgrade that will just make my rig have to work harder? Sorry just thought I'd share what it is like to be behind in the times.
