Provantage is notorious for this. They had a grayed out 9800GTX when they early-listed the GTX480.

I'm not sure how it's going to compare with the 5770 just yet but the bottom model would have been very attractive for everyone at 179.99 and just make the 1GB 199.99 but i have a feeling Newegg's prices will be lower.

i think it is a little high but i'm not surprised.
yet it looks like it is a great card in teory, lets see in practice

That's fairly impressive actually. The 192-bit bus of the 460 is above the performance of a 275, to which SMOKES a 5770.
Good news.

After looking at the links in the OP, i see an "OC" in the description, so if they are overclocked, then I could see how the price is justified.
